Project Requirements:

1. Topic Overview:
   Provide an analysis of the evolution of cybersecurity threats specifically targeting financial institutions, including types of attacks over time (e.g., phishing, ransomware, insider threats, DDoS). Follow this by a detailed discussion of the defense mechanisms these institutions have adopted in response, such as firewalls, intrusion detection systems, multi-factor authentication, and AI-based monitoring.

2. Research Depth:
   Use credible academic sources, industry reports, and recent case studies (preferably from the last 10 years) to support your analysis.

3. Structure:
   The paper should include the following sections:

   • Title Page (APA formatted)

   • Abstract (brief summary of key points)

   • Introduction (background and significance)

   • Main Body (detailed discussion of threats and defense mechanisms, including evolution and trends)

   • Conclusion (summary of findings and potential future developments)

   • References (APA formatted list of all sources cited)

4. Formatting Guidelines:

   • Use Times New Roman, 12-point font

   • Double-spaced text

   • 1-inch margins on all sides

   • Include in-text citations and a reference list according to APA 7th edition

   • Page numbers in the top right corner

   • Headings formatted per APA style

5. Submission:
