Project Overview:
Write a 1-page academic essay on the topic “The Intersection of Gender and Crime: Exploring the Experiences of Female Offenders.” The essay should apply APA format and integrate scholarly research to highlight how gender influences criminal behavior, justice system responses, and societal perceptions.

Specific Requirements:

1. Abstract: Include an abstract of 150–200 words summarizing the focus, argument, and findings of the essay.

2. Essay Length: Main text should be 1 page (excluding title page, abstract, and references).

3. Formatting: APA format (12-point Times New Roman, double-spaced, 1-inch margins).

4. Citations: Use at least 2–3 credible scholarly sources (e.g., criminology journals, gender studies research). Include proper in-text citations and a full reference list.

5. Content Focus:

   • Historical and contemporary perspectives on women in crime.

   • The role of gender stereotypes in shaping legal and social outcomes.
